🚛 Where Does it All Go? Our 5th Grade Found Out! 🧐
Ever wonder what happens after the recycling truck leaves your curb? Our 5th graders found out last week during their field trip to the Polk County Recycling Center!
From watching the sorting lines to learning about what actually happens to our plastic, glass, and cardboard, it was an eye-opening day for everyone. Big thanks to the staff at the center for showing us how we can all do our part to keep Polk County beautiful.
It wasn't just a day away from the desk; it was a deep dive into sustainability. A huge shoutout to our teachers and chaperones for making this trip possible!

Five fifth-grade students recently traveled to St. Croix Central Middle School to compete in the Math Masters competition. While the day didn’t end with trophies or medals, it was still a tremendous success. Each student gave their very best effort, tackled challenging problems, and represented our school with pride. The experience itself—working through tough math, supporting one another, and stepping up to a new challenge—made the day truly rewarding and memorable.

A memory he’ll always remember is introducing himself to a new student during freshman year — a moment that turned into a friendship that helped shape him for the better.
After graduation, Peyton plans to work while continuing to pursue his goal of becoming a video game designer.

🍦 Keeping it Cool at Clear Lake Elementary!
A huge THANK YOU to the officers from the Clear Lake Police Department for stopping by Friday with a very special delivery! 🚓💨
Our students got a sweet surprise as the officers traded in their patrol cars for ice cream scoops, serving up delicious root beer floats to everyone. It wasn’t just about the treats, though—it was a fantastic opportunity for our kids to get to know who keep our community safe in a fun, relaxed environment.
Highlights from the day:
• Smiles all around: From the first scoop to the last drop of foam.
• Great Conversations: Students loved asking questions.
• Sticky fingers, happy hearts: Definitely the highlight of the school week!

Who says math has to happen at a desk? ☀️📏
Mrs. Hoyt's 1st graders took their lesson outdoors to soak up some sun and sharpen those skills! We turned the playground into our classroom.
It’s amazing how much faster those math facts click when you’re having a blast in the fresh air. Way to go, little mathematicians!
